Nicola Bevilacqua is an Italian born American painter.  His earliest artistic education began copying comics as a child.  His teenage years saw those characters interact with the world of graffiti.

Nic graduated Cum Laude from Temple University in 1995 with a degree in Human Biology.  Upon graduating, he departed Philadelphia for the quietude of Myrtle Beach, SC, to eliminate distraction and focus on drawing.  Taking a Renaissance approach, He learned and mastered the art of drawing before attempting to paint.  After months of intense study and practice he returned to Philadelphia, rented studio space and dedicated his time to painting.

Continuing education in lithography, etching, and bookmaking soon followed at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.  A burning desire to refocus and evolve as an artist has Nic returning to drawing from the human form every few years.  Collage and assemblage round out his oeuvre.

Nic currently lives, works, and maintains a studio in Philadelphia with his wife and son.  He has been involved in many one man and group shows in both Philadelphia and New York. Presently he has gallery representation in New York City at the Paul Seftel Project Space (PSPS).
